Mary and Matt

Mary: This is my third time here. The first time I came I was in high school. He didn’t know anything about Medjugorje before he met me. I’ve been telling him about it and trying to get him to come for the last, I don’t know how many years. 

Matt: Three.

Mary: We’ve been married for like three and a half years. Finally, in November, I convinced him to come this time. It’s nice that he finally gets to experience it for himself instead of just hearing me talk about it because he would be like, “I don’t get it. What is it?” And I was like, “ I don’t know. There’s just something about the place. You just have to go there and experience it yourself.” So then he finally did. I’m really happy that he finally came.

Matt: I’m one who appreciates natural beauty, and this place is just beautiful. Just gorgeous. I love the mountains. Even though it’s been raining, that’s been kind of nice too. We got a little bit of down time. 

And i think just the people; seeing a different way of life. This was my first time in Europe. And it’s very different, not knowing the language and trying to navigate.

One of my favorite experiences was meeting the people. Our group is really awesome; everybody here, like Miki and Mirjana. Everybody just seems genuine and happy and sincere. I think that was what was probably the most powerful for me.
