“I first heard about Medjugorje back in 2000 from a friend who had gone through a conversion experience and had basically started giving materials on Medjugorje and Our Lady being here. I didn’t know anything about it and so he invited me to this Marian conference in Irvine, CA. I really enjoyed the conference and hearing about the conversion stories and miracles. I really felt called and inspired to go and I was in Medjugorje six weeks later. I was there on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. I experienced a deeper conversion in Medjugorje. I saw a lot of miracles and stuff like that but most importantly, there was a conversion of heart. When I got back to California, I felt God calling me to become a priest, and that is when I started discerning religious life. A few years later, I joined the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.
I’ve been to Medjugorje seven times now and every time it keeps building and building and building. I really encourage people to come here because I think that you’ll experience love and peace here like you never have before. The whole focus of Medjugorje is Our Lady leading us to Her son. It’s all about Jesus.
Often times people come here looking for some kind of sign or a miracle. What’s important is to really just open your heart and mind to Our Lady. Don’t focus too much on the secrets or the future but rather just open your heart to Our Lord.”
