Herla
In my church, everybody knows how I love God. I went to Jerusalem. When I came back, they said, “Now you have to go to Assisi.” So I went to Assisi.
After Assisi, one lady said, “I think you should go to Medjugorje.”
I said, “Okay. I’m going to Medjugorje.” I never said, “If I have the money.” I said, “Yes. I’m going.” Before I left, I told them, “My daughter wants to come.” She told me, “Mother Mary said ‘Thank you for bringing your daughter.’’’
She was so excited. For two weeks, she kept telling me, “Are you excited? I’m so excited!”
I’m waiting for what’s going to come out of it, because she already told me, “I think I want to come back.”
It’s really beautiful, and I love it. I feel so at peace. I feel real peace while I’m here. I pray to Mother Mary to help me accept my daughter Kim. And I expect more when I go back. I’ll see exactly what Mother Mary had for me here.
Kim told me, “Mom, I’m happy you took me here.” That’s what she said. “I want to come back so I can get everything that I need from this place.” So she has expectations. And we’ll see.
What I like a lot is seeing how people pray. Everybody’s praying. There’s a priest in Haiti that said, “Walk with your rosary.” I’ve seen this here. Everybody has their rosary with them. They walk with it. And the young people. To see young people praying to God.
My mother relied on prayer. I know God is well in our lives. My grandmother from my father’s side taught me how to do the Rosary. I was very young, and I never forgot it.
Yesterday, I was saying, “God, You know why You do things the way You do it.” If I was younger I would be coming here like 20 times. I’m so happy to be here. And I thank Him. Because I always wait on God, have patience and perseverance. I never stop praying. I never said, “I pray so much! Look what’s happening to me!” I say, “God, in Your time.” Always. And, “It’s in Your hands.” Sometimes I will tell Him, “Do it a little bit faster.”
But I love it. This is one of the best experiences in my life after Jerusalem. I love it.
