“I came to Medjugorje and had a phone call. They told me I had cancer.
That’s when I felt She said, “Consecrate yourself to my Immaculate Heart.”
Before that, I always came here, and I’d go to the Blue Cross and Apparition Hill. I beg people who come to Medjugorje not to lose one day. Just go to Apparition Hill and go to the Blue Cross every day. Don’t go one time. Go every day. She’s really there.
When I go to Apparition Hill, when I finish my prayer, I always make the Totus Tuus consecration.
[ St. Louis Marie de Montfort’s prayer to Mary: “Totus tuus ego sum et omnia mea tua sunt” – “I am totally yours and all that I have is yours.” ]
When I had this news of having cancer, I left my group. I came to the church. It was raining. I did adoration. I knelt near the altar, and I said, “You know, Gospa, this is not my problem now. This is your problem because I gave You my all. I gave you my body, my soul, my past, my present, my future. All I have is Yours. Totus tuus.”
I said, “Why worry? It’s Your problem now. It’s not my problem.”
I was so good and normal. I told the priest to pray for me for healing because I have cancer. He told me, “No you don’t.” I was so normal that he couldn’t believe.
A normal person would be angry, would cry, would be mad at God. “I come here for You to give me the best, and You give me a cross?” Yes, but I embraced the cross.
When you embrace the cross that She gives you, you are closer to Jesus. He is on the cross. When you embrace it, you’re even closer to Jesus.
I was doing all the treatment always saying, “Thank you, God!” I should be crazy.
It’s the grace of Gospa. This is what She put in me. I never saw Her, but I saw myself.
That was 12 years ago and I’ve been completely healed now.
I live in Beirut, Lebanon. Last year in Beirut, there was a big explosion. My brother’s house went like crazy. They were all miraculously saved. The house was completely destroyed. Only the statue we brought from Medjugorje, which is very fragile, She was the only thing standing in the house.
I learned from this that when you consecrate yourself, it’s not only yourself because all that belongs to you, you give to Her. What belongs to me? My brother, my mother, my nephew, my niece, my house, my friends, my neighbors.
When you come here, it’s not only for yourself but for everybody around you. She cannot bring everyone, but we can bring Her to our place.
We are lucky to live in this time of grace. We are lucky because we live in the time when Our Lady is appearing in Medjugorje.
If you’re hesitating, don’t hesitate. Come to Medjugorje. It will change your life for the better. Don’t be afraid.
If you have the opportunity to go somewhere or Medjugorje, only come to Medjugorje. All the rest is boring in front of Medjugorje, in front of the project of God. This is the place to be. This is the place not to miss.
She tells us, “It’s a time of grace.” We should come and take this grace.
